Learning Resources for teaching

For teaching staff: managing content for your Learning Resources List

Submit your Resource List to the Library for completion

Learning Resources offers the flexibility of sending your resources list to the Library to be completed or completing the list yourself. If you are short on time or prefer to have the Library manage your Resources List the following steps will show you how to do that.

To get started:

  1. Collate a list of links and learning resources*.
  2. Email or Submit the list of readings to the Learning Resources team who will store and create links for you;

* All resources content that has not been authored by you or a colleague at Federation must be submitted and stored on Learning Resources to comply with our Statutory Education Licence.  PDFs of journal articles, book chapters, conference papers etc. cannot be loaded directly onto Moodle.  It is good practice is to submit all links too. Some reasons for this are:

  • The links will look the same as your links for Third party (copyright) content
  • Learning Resources staff will ensure all content is copyright compliant
  • Your students are provided an accurate citation for the resources
  • You are provided usage and engagement statistics for the resources
  • The Learning Resources team monitors and manages the Learning Resources links weekly for broken or non-resolving links
  • The links will roll over into the next teaching period

If you would like to put your own resources list together, the instructions on the self-help pages will allow you to do just that.
