Writing for publication

Writing for academic publication is a distinct skill set and, as with many activities, preparation is vital.

When preparing to write, make sure you have:

  • Consulted the author information on the website of your targeted publication
  • Examined other articles in that publication to get a sense of the preferred focus and structure
