This course is designed to prepare people who are registered nurses and midwives to practice as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse in community-based settings, with advanced nursing skills to work in partnership with families from birth to school age. It develops skills in community child and family health nursing with abilities to critically analyse and apply principles of primary healthcare.

What you can expect from us:
In an online environment, it can be a challenge to feel that sense of camaraderie or community that is associated with face-to-face learning environments. Therefore it is important to consistently participate in the communicative activities set to ensure your 'voice' is heard, and you acknowledge the 'voices' of others as part of the learning process. Each unit has a number of online discussion forums, peer activities and/or synchronous virtual sessions scheduled to ensure that you can regularly engage with your peers to maximise learning.
