To access Learning Resources log into Moodle with your student ID number and password
From the unit home menu click on either the Learning Resources tab from the home navigation menu (left hand side) or the Learning Resources tile.
This is an example of a Learning Resources list.
Key features:
Click anywhere on your the item to access the resources.
You may be linked directly to an eBook that is part of the library collection, to PDF of an article, or in some cases to a the catalogue entry for a physical resource.
The first resource in the example list is a Book Chapter and is a direct link to the eBook platform. You can tell if an item is a link by the (LINK) brackets. Links take you to either an online resources, such as an eBook or article. Resources available for direct download will have (PDF) instead.
Many eBooks have publisher restriction on the number of simultaneous users. If you are not able to access a resource the licences may be in use. Please try again later.
In some cases there may only be a physical resource available. Your Learning Resources list will link to a catalogue item, you can then place a hold or, if the resource is in high demand, be placed on the waitlist. Additional borrowing restrictions (such as a shortened loan period) may apply to high demand resources.

The updated Learning Resources platform has increased searchability. Click on the magnifying glass to search for particular resources by:
Start typing your search term into the search box and your results will begin to appear in the space below.
Click on the quotation marks to generate a citation for a resource (plain text or RIS). RIS format will allow you to import the list of citations into EndNote. Please double check all of your references for accuracy. The default style may be different from your unit referencing style. Please check which referencing style is appropriate for your needs.
Click on the File Format drop down menu (demonstrated in the image above), then choose if you would like to download your citations in plain text or RIS format, then click the download button.
Your file will appear in your downloads file on your computer.
This tool allows you to filter the resources in your Resources List.
Click on the filter button which will open up the filter menu. Here you can choose to filter by resource importance, resource type, or status (unopened/opened).
When filtering by Resource Importance, select either Recommended or Required, then click on the arrow next to the word Filter to access the filtered list. Click on the filter button to return back to the filter menu and remove the filter by clicking on the ALL button.
When filtering by Resource Type, click on the Plus button.
This will open up a new menu where you can select the type of resource you wish to filter by. In this new menu you will need to tick the box next to the type of resource you want to filter the Resource list by, then click APPLY.
To access the filtered resources, click on the arrow next to the word Filter on the left hand side of the Filter menu. To remove the filter, simply click on the X next to the chosen filter in the Filter menu.
To filter by Opened/Unopened Resources, select either the Opened or Unopened button, then click on the arrow next to the word Filter to access the filtered list. Click on the filter button to return back to the filter menu and remove the filter by clicking on the ALL button.

To access the Help Menu click on the Question mark. This will open the left side Help menu where you can access the help with List overview, Accessing resources, List searching, List filtering, Opening resources and Exporting resources by clicking on a menu option
To exit out of the Help menu click on the X in the top left corner
