How do I access resources?

Click anywhere on your the item to access the resources.

You may be linked directly to an e-book that is part of the library collection, to PDF of an article, or in some cases to a the catalogue entry for a physical resource.

Book chapter

The first resource in the example list is a Book Chapter and is a direct link to the ebook platform. You can tell if an item is a link by the (LINK) brackets. Links take you to either an online resources, such as an ebook or article. Resources available for direct download will have (PDF) instead.

Many e-books have publisher restriction on the number of simultaneous users. If you are not able to access a resource the licences may be in use. Please try again later.

Physical resource

In some cases there may only be a physical resource available. Your Learning Resources list will link to a catalogue item, you can then place a hold or, if the resource is in high demand, be placed on the waitlist. Additional borrowing restrictions (such as a shortened loan period) may apply to high demand resources.

Check out our borrowing page to find out how to place a hold. As a Fed Uni student you may also request a scan of one chapter/10% of a book from the Library collection by completing the Intercampus journal/book chapter request form.
