Integrating Indigenous Knowledges in the Curriculum

Aboriginal Education Centre

The Aboriginal Education Centre provides support to prospective and current Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. They have a range of support for students at Mt Helen, SMB, Horsham, Berwick and Gippsland campuses.

Students are able to receive a broad range of educational and community support at all campuses of FedUni. As well as providing referral to services and support within the University, our staff are available to provide personalised support.

Services:

  • Access to tutorial support
  • Career advice
  • Referral to childcare, accommodation, counselling, financial, transport and other services
  • Resource library (Mt Helen campus)
  • Scholarship information

In addition, on each campus the Centre can facilitate:

  • Access to a computer lounge
  • Access to a resource library
  • Involvement with the local Aboriginal community
  • Referral to community organisations.

The AEC's primary focus is student support and success and welcome any Indigenous student referrals to their services.
