Here are instructions on how to:
Your ORCiD can be a path to potential opportunities and collaborations if the relevant information is publicly available. As you complete each component of your ORCiD adjust your visibility settings choosing to make your information visible to everyone, trusted parties, or only yourself.
ORCiD provides connections to your Scopus Author ID and Web of Science/Publons ResearcherID. You can add your ID from the other system to your ORCID record to automatically update between systems.
You can also add works manually (useful for non-traditional works).
Some useful systems for adding works:
DataCite: enable the DataCite Search & Link and Auto-Update services.
Search the DataCite Metadata Store to find your research datasets, images and other works, and link them to your ORCID record. Give DataCite permission to automatically add newly published works with a DataCite DOI. DataCite what we do.
For more information on Federation University’s digital repository for storing, sharing and publishing research files and data sets. See the Federation.figshare Library Guide: Federation.figshare
A full list of other available systems that link to ORCiD can be found here: Link works to your ORCiD record from another system
To link to other online systems such as a personal website or blog, LinkedIn, or others, add them as a website within your Personal information.
You can export publications from EndNote, Google Scholar (or other sources) in BibTeX format and import the BibTeX file into ORCiD.
This can be done by using the Dimensions Wizard to import your grants information or manually.
