BrowZine

BrowZine is the world’s most popular journal engagement platform, providing a consistent way of reading, sharing, storing and citing articles. Using BrowZine you can create an online bookshelf to browse your favourite journals and be notified when new issues are available. Articles can also be saved in BrowZine for later reading, and citations can be exported to EndNote.

Go to Browzine.com and select Federation University Australia as your library. Once you have signed in using your Federation username and password you can browse by journals by title, subject or ISSN.

You can add journals to your bookshelf by visiting the journal page in BrowZine and selecting the Add to My Bookshelf option. 

BrowZine also has access to articles before they are formally published in a journal volume and issue. In BrowZine, select your journal and look for the Articles in Press option in the left-hand menu.

LibKey Nomad

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension for Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi browsers.  LibKey Nomad connects researchers to library-licensed and open access full text articles referenced on scholarly websites like PubMed, Wikipedia and publisher pages. Find the LibKey button and access your content, instantly and in one-click!

Download the LibKey Nomad browser extension for either Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Vivldi, Brave or Safari.

After downloading the extension select Federation University Australia, and that's it! When searching online, you will now find the LibKey button for any resources available through Federation Library.

Journal Articles

When browsing journal articles look out for the following buttons at the bottom corner of your web browser. 

Click Download PDF to go directly to the PDF document. Click Article Link to access the article via the journal webpage. Click Access Options to view library help and options. 

Wikipedia

LibKey Nomad works with Wikipedia's reference list section to provide quick access options via Federation Library.

 


PubMed

LibKey Nomad provides full text links to items in PubMed search results and links to BrowZine to access complete journal issues where available.

Where available click on the View Complete Issue button to conveniently access the whole issue via BrowZine.

LibKey Link

The Library has integrated LibKey Link access to QuickSearch and Web of Science for all Federation users independent of the LibKey Nomad browser extension.


QuickSearch

In QuickSearch click the Download PDF button for LibKey to instantly direct you to the PDF file. 

Where available click on the View Complete Issue button to conveniently access the whole issue via BrowZine.

In QuickSearch, LibKey Link will display if an article has been retracted, warning users of any errors.


Web of Science

When searching Web of Science click on the Get Full Text button for full-text access options via Federation Library


 

LibKey.io

Libkey.io is a landing page where your researchers can connect to millions of library-subscribed and open access articles using a DOI or PMID.

  • Avoid paywalls by accessing library-subscribed content
  • No user account necessary
  • Available to all Federation staff and students

Visit Libkey.io, enter the DOI or PMID into the search box and click Find article.

If available, select from the full text format options: Download PDF or Article link.

You can also select View article in context to visit the table of contents for the journal issue where the article was published (via BrowZine).
