Create a new review

When creating a review, make sure you select the account affiliated with Federation University if you have a personal trial account as well. You can edit the review details later if required.

Setting up the review

Invite reviewers

You are able to invite others, such as supervisors or collaborators, to join your review.

Accept an invitation

Others can also invite you to join their review.

Covidence defaults to dual reviewer mode, in which each citation requires two votes to move to the next stage of screening. If these votes are in conflict, a third and final vote is required, or the reviewers decide by consensus.

You are able to alter this if required on the Team Settings page.

You are also able to assign tasks to specific reviewers, such as conflict resolution.

Covidence allows you to create pre-specified inclusion and exclusion criteria, which you can then select from during the full text screening to provide the reason an article was excluded.

How to create and manage eligibility criteria

Highlights can be applied in the titles and abstracts of your studies, which can help to quickly identify which meets the inclusion criteria.
