EndNote for researchers: Diacritic marks

Diacritic marks

Inserting diacritic marks via the Character Map

Diacritics or accents are essential glyphs added to many foreign words and names. The easiest way to insert these characters into your EndNote references is via the Character Map available through your accessories on your computer.

1. To open the Character map go to the start menu and search for Character Map.

2. Click the diacritic needed, click Select, and then click Copy.

3. You can then paste the diacritic into EndNote by placing your cursor and pressing Ctrl + V.
